Philips set out to create a high-energy experience that educated guests on the benefits of IPL while giving them a chance to release years of hair removal frustration. The goal was to help influencers move beyond the nicks, wasted time, and cost of traditional shaving and embrace a new chapter of lasting sleekness, confidence, and freedom in their own skin.

Groundswell designed a rooftop “Sleek Suite” experience where light, the core of IPL technology,was reflected across every touchpoint. Installations, décor, food, music, and centerpieces all reinforced IPL’s messaging “Powered by light”. Guests began their journey by symbolically checking belongings at the entrance, representing freedom from the frustrations of shaving, before passing through a dramatic curtain into the Sleek Suite itself.

Inside, the suite embodied the smooth, light-powered results of IPL with reflective surfaces, refractive lighting, and curated “shiny” foods and cocktails. Attendees relaxed in a sleek lounge with flowing music, received custom embroidered robes, shopped the IPL, and learned directly from certified dermatologists. The experience left guests immersed in sleekness and empowered with the knowledge and confidence that comes with IPL technology.
