The north face at outside days
The North Face became the north star.
Challenge
The North Face sought to build a basecamp at Outside Days that served as a gateway to outdoor education and positioned them as a leader within the outdoor industry. In order to differentiate the space from other activations and become a centralized destination, we needed to create multiple activities and touchpoints that kept patrons coming back for more.

Groundswell produced a 100' x 100' immersive space that became a central gathering point for the Outside Days community to celebrate the outdoors, engage with artists and athletes, and come together through the lens of North Face. Year after year, the climbing wall has become an iconic cornerstone activity at Outside Days.
To further emphasize The North Face and VF Foundation’s investment in local communities, we supported youth programming, a Meet & Greet with climber Alex Honnold, and a screenprinting station and live mural featuring local artists. To bring the space together as an integrated brand engagement zone, we featured interactive touchpoints and memorable brand imagery, including the iconic hero logo mirror, branded camping tents and structures, a merch giveaway booth, and a Plinko game.
