To bring their slogan – Engineered for Whatever – to life at Outside Days, Columbia wanted to showcase their Omni-Freeze branded merchandise under the coldest conditions. We were faced with the challenge of creating a cool environment under the hot Denver sun at an outdoor festival.

To showcase Columbia’s new line of rapid-cooling clothing, Groundswell created a unique sensory experience at an indoor gallery within the Outside Days festival grounds. As visitors walked through the doors, they were immediately transported into an arctic environment – air conditioning blasted, dimmed lights of blue gleamed, and eyes were drawn to an iconic ice sculpture meets merch display centerpiece. Serving as a coveted escape from the heat, visitors cooled down in the lounge space while enjoying complimentary ice cream and photo ops, before leaving with branded giveaways and product coupons.
