Our journey commenced in June 2023 with a feasibility study for Outside Magazine, leading to state funding for an extensive festival analysis. This effort secured a $400,000 grant from the State of Colorado, empowering Groundswell to actualize an unparalleled outdoor experience.
Leveraging top-tier festival industry expertise, we orchestrated an event that drew 18,000 attendees, 20% of whom traveled from out of state. Our collaboration with over 122 brands and non-profits brought a diverse lineup of 11 live bands, 21 films, and 25 visionary speakers. The festival achieved over 1.82 billion media impressions, establishing itself as a premier event for both consumers and industry insiders. Groundswell’s meticulous planning and execution transformed the Outside Festival into an annual pinnacle in the outdoor industry calendar.
