Lowe’s needed a way to increase millennial & new homeowner traffic in stores.
Together, we explored the opportunity to make the Lowe’s experience more of a family affair, and jumped on the insight that parents are always looking for unique venues to celebrate their kid’s birthday.

We developed the Lowe’s Build a Birthday program - an in-store paid + private event for parents to host their child’s birthday party while driving incremental revenue and increasing store traffic.
Groundswell Experiential created a customized microsite as well as a one-stop-shop package with everything included for a memorable celebration from workshop kits to party treats.
Over the span of 6 months, Groundswell Experiential executed in 10 markets providing white-glove service for each host store and every customer.
In store, we created a “party zone” for the celebration to take place inclusive of a Builders’ Playground featuring shoppable toys.
