Ed brings over thirty years of experiential leadership experience to Groundswell, leading some of the most successful experiential campaigns including “Pepsi Challenge”, Mountain Dew “DewTour.com”, Dell “Superprom”, and “WhateverUSA” for Bud Light – winning the Event Marketer Grand Ex award for Best Campaign.
Slavin began his experiential career with Dallas-based Motion Graphics where he launched the Sampling Plus divisionIn 1994, Ed started Field Source, Inc. which quickly became one of America’s fastest growing companies, employing over 4,000 employees across over 50 U.S. markets in just 3 years. Field Source was the lead experiential agency for Pepsi-Cola, Diageo, and Nestle Beverages - even expanding their reach internationally to the Philippines and Mexico.
Field Source was acquired in June of 1998 by Mosaic Group and Slavin remained President of the U.S. Experiential Marketing division until 2000 when he moved on to become a corporate EVP. In 2002, Slavin left Mosaic to lead venture capital groupDirect Store Solutions, investing-in and managing specialized start-ups. In late 2008, Ed re-joined Mosaic as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the newly created U.S. Experiential Marketing division until his departure in 2014.
